Bio

headshotI’m a Peabody Award–winning writer and producer exploring meaning, idealism and beauty in documentary, animation, and interactive media. I bring sensitivity, critical intelligence, and a fondness for play to the storytelling process.

See the new interactive documentary I created with the National Film Board of Canada. I previously worked in public radio in the US. (Listen to a few shows on my Work page.)

I grew up in Montreal, lived in the Minnesota for a few years, and now call Toronto my home. I enjoy the Montreal Canadiens, the history of religions, video games, Pixar, Studio Ghibli, chocolate milk, and all kinds of books.

Speaking of which, I’m now writing a bunch of essays, and an interactive adventure storybook thing for kids, as well as a novel about a lost astronomer and his family that will hopefully land somewhere between Swamplandia! and The Night Gardener
